There may be a few bets placed on Sunday on the Super Bowl. According to the American Gaming Association, $16 billion dollars will be bet on this year’s game. To put that mind blowing number into perspective, that’s more than the gross national product of Laos, Mali, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Equatorial Guinea and the Bahamas. There are so many Super Bowl Prop bets to consider this year that it all feels a little overwhelming. It’s like trying to figure out which shows are on Peacock or who sings that one song my daughter likes. But it is fun as hell. Here’s a few of the more interesting bets I’ve come across on Draftkings.
Combined Jersey Numbers of All Touchdown Scorer over/under 160.5
Is there someone out there crunching these numbers to give historical analysis here? Didn’t players used to wear bigger numbers so wouldn’t that cloud the data? If hurts scores every touchdown and the Eagles win 28-0 then the total would be 4, right?
Gatorade Color
Reds/Pink +450
Blue +400
Purple +750
Will there be a Scorigami?
That’s a new score that’s never been seen in a game before. Yes +2000 NO -10000.
Will there be a Flea Flicker?
Yes +210
No -280
If I’m in the mob and I’m trying for a sure thing, this is the one. Everyone loves a good flea clicker and no one would suspect a thing.
Will there be an Octopus?
This is a real thing and I have no idea what it means. None. I feel like it’s an amazing sex position that everyone’s been doing that I didn’t know about all these years. Can someone please respond and tell me what this means.
SQUARES!
Amazingly, after all these years, you don’t have to wait for one of your friends to text 10 min before the game to see if you wanna buy a square. You can now just pick your own on your phone. It’s incredibly convenient, so much so that it completely sucks all the fun out of it.
Ja Morant Pts.+ Reb + Assts vs Boston vs Total Points in SB LVIII
Morant averages 27, 5 and 8 (40) and is coming off 32, 9 and 9 against Minnesota and he’s +380. Not bad odds for an early game that will be on national TV. I’m putting a little bit on this one.
I’m also taking a number of the more traditional bets including:
Dallas Goedert over 4.5 receptions (-135)
Dallas Goedert over 47.5 yards receiving (-135)
Isiah Pacheco over 68.5 rush and receiving yards (-120)
Isiah Pacheco over 15.5 receiving yards (-125)
Kenneth Gainwell over 33.5 rush and receiving yards (-120)
Jalen Hurts 30 yards rushing in the first and second half (+500)
Pacheco 150+ rush and receiving yards and 1 TD (+2200)
You could literally spend the next 48 hours pouring over prop bets right up until kick-off. Spread out your spreadsheets, drink a little coffee, tell your wife and kids you’re studying for a huge final exam and have at it. I picked a few and now I mostly want to completely forget about em and enjoy the game. Go Dallas Goedert over 4.5 receptions!
