During the Olympics, I struggled to figure out which of NBC’s 68 channel offerings would televise the events I wanted to watch. In particular, I couldn’t find the U.S. men’s basketball games anywhere until Google told me I would need to download the Peacock app to watch the games. Really NBC? You’re gonna force millions of Americans to download your crappy appy just so we can see if Kevin Durant really is the best player on the planet? And then you’re going to make me sign up and charge me an extra $4.99 just for the privilege? It’s as if an entire network is being run by people who never went to grad school or took the 101 marketing class where they teach you that trapping people into downloading your thing is not the same as people downloading your thing because they actually like your thing.
Take Disney for example. They came out with one show with a cute little green kid and 90+ million Americans downloaded the app like free Teslas were being given away upon signup. Same price point. Same basic idea. Only one app you wanted to download and the other app you were forced to download. Sure, Disney has amazing content and The Tiny Cock has Battlestar Galactica but they’re both networks vying for eyeballs!
But here’s what really gets me. The Tiny Cock won’t let me leave. Immediately after the U.S. won the gold medal, I went to the app’s setting and searched for a way to cancel my subscription. Like everything else on the app, the experience was less than awesome. When you go to your account within the app on your TV, it gives you two options:
Peacock Premium: $4.99/month
Peacock Premium Plus: $9.99/month
Oooh, Peacock Premium Plus! I think this is where you get unlimited episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Teachers Union Strike! But there’s no option to simply cancel your subscription. To do that, you have to go to the Peacock website where, in my case, you are then re-directed to iTunes where you are then asked to search for your subscriptions and, finally, where you can cancel The Tiny Cock. Why not just let people cancel their subscription directly from the app? Why not televise U.S. Men’s and Women’s basketball games on regular NBC? Why not stop trying to trick people into downloading your thing and make a thing that people actually want and until you do, why not give your thing away for free because you know it’s not a premium thing it’s just a thing trying to find its way in a crowded sea of things?
The Tiny Cock got my $4.99 and likely lost a customer for life in the process. Was it worth it?

I hate tiny cock.
Hates it as well. Couldn’t stand seeing the scores on sportcenter before the damn game was played too.
I really appreciate knowing how to cancel things (especially streaming services) these days. It’s like a superpower that some of us have, and others of us can only admire.
